LEARN FROM BAGGIO MISTAKE

Ranieri Pontello, who is regarded in great esteem by Fiorentina, has said that the club should learn from the sale of the former great Roberto Baggio. However, between Baggio and Jovetic, there is a difference. The Baggio of that time was superior to the present Jovetic. But I would be in favour of a sale if a notable offer is put on the table. DE JONG RULED OUT

The AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong will miss the rest of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury, which comes as a major blow for the Italian club. Nigel de Jong is one of the experienced members of the AC Milan team after the club allowed a number of the experienced and high profile players to leave in the summer. He was signed from the Premier league champions Manchester city in the summer. AC Milan have struggled a lot in all competitions this season, but the presence of Nigel de Jong would have given them hope that they will be able to continue their recent good form till the end of the season.

However, the manager Massimiliano Allegri has been dealt a huge blow with the news that the midfielder will now miss the rest of the season with this injury. This also means that he is now short of options when it comes to the defensive midfielders. The player, though, has recently said that he has undergone his operation successfully and is looking forward to returning to the team as soon as possible. He has also thanked the support he has received from the fans and his teammates. He has so far made 15 appearances for the club since joining in the summer.
